Program Management Cohort

With the passage of Proposition 49, after school programming became a huge industry. Agencies began creating infrastructure for managing multiple sites instead of one or two. This made way for new position that was required to bridge the distance between Program Directors and Program Coordinators: the Program Manager. The Program Manager is typically responsible for overseeing several staff across several sites. They have to negotiate a complex set of intersectional relationships with agencies, school sites, staff and funders. This job is DIFFICULT and too often managers are thrown into these roles without support or professional development. The Program Manager Cohort will convene program managers once every month for 3 hours at DCYF between October 2018 and June 2019 and provide professional development on the following relevant topics: Multi Site Supervision, Program Design, Staff Development, Supervision & Coaching, Program Assessment & Evaluation, Stakeholder Relationships, The Collective Impact Model, Strategic Partnerships and Collaboration, Problem Solving, Time Management

 Each participant will receive:

●      30 hours of professional development

●      A certificate of completion

●      Customized management tools
