Educating the Black Child: A Critical Conversation

Educating the Black Child is a series that EforE has been hosting for over a year. This edition will feature the former Director of the Oakland Community School, Black Panther Party legend Mama Ericka Huggins. She will be joined in conversation with the Director of Kingmakers of Oakland and the lead Curriculum Specialist for African American Male Achievement Bayaan Bakari. The event will feature and interview and live conversation with Maddy “MADlines” Clifford, hip hop activist and educator who works extensively with Black youth often in detention centers and jails. As usual the entire conversation will be moderated by Candice Antique Davis and Hodari B. Davis, and co facilitated by journalist and wax spinner DJ Davey D.
