Candice is the founder of the Beauty Zone series at the Life is Living Festival. She has produced the Beauty Zone for three years each year in collaboration with visual artists and black owned businesses.

Candice was the first director of the Environmental Service Learning Initiative, a partnership between the San Francisco Unified School District, the Department of Children, Youth and their Families, the Mayor's Office and two non-profits, Global Exchange & Community Educational Services. She spearheaded the first youth led teacher's conference and youth Eco Block Party in San Francisco.
