With the passage of Proposition 49, after school programming became a huge industry. Agencies began creating infrastructure for managing multiple sites instead of one or two. This made way for new position that was required to bridge the distance between Program Directors and Program Coordinators: the Program Manager. The Program Manager is typically responsible for overseeing several staff across several sites. They have to negotiate a complex set of intersectional relationships with agencies, school sites, staff and funders. This job is DIFFICULT and too often managers are thrown into these roles without support or professional development. The Program Manager Cohort will convene program managers once every month for 3 hours at DCYF between October 2018 and June 2019 and provide professional development on the following relevant topics: Multi Site Supervision, Program Design, Staff Development, Supervision & Coaching, Program Assessment & Evaluation, Stakeholder Relationships, The Collective Impact Model, Strategic Partnerships and Collaboration, Problem Solving, Time Management  

 Each participant will receive:

●      30 hours of professional development

●      A certificate of completion

●      Customized management tools

The Program Manager Cohort will convene 15 program managers once every month for 6 hours at DCYF between September 2017 and May 2018 and provide professional development and coaching on the following relevant topics: Multi-Site Supervision, Program Design, Staff Development, Supervision & Coaching, Program Assessment & Evaluation, Stakeholder Relationships, The Collective Impact Model, Strategic Partnerships and Collaboration, Problem Solving, Time Management.

Each participant will receive:

●      60 hours of professional development

●      Up to 3 hours of one on one professional coaching

●      A certificate of completion

●      Customized management tools

2019 Dates: January 15, February 12, March 12, April 9, May 7, May 21, June 4
