Program Evaluation is an imperative to maintaining a quality youth development program. As managers and direct service providers begin to wrap up a semester or year of service it is always beneficial to understand and implement an assessment to improve program delivery and outcomes. This workshop provides participants with multiple models for assessing and improving their programs, with an emphasis in creating space to troubleshoot possible strategic practice to institutionalize evaluation into every day activities. As with all E4E trainings, a goal is to give participants practical tools to use in their programs during and especially following the training.

“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” ~ Benjamin Franklin

Project based learning is empowerment learning. It allows our young people to engage with education as a 3 dimensional experience. Too often, however, the project itself takes priority over the process for students, and it diminishes the impact of the experience. In this workshop, you will examine the tenants Project Based Learning and a model for participatory action research and be guided through a step-by-step process for incorporating project-based learning with a social justice lens into your program or classroom.
