Mr Davis Classroom is a Black History series designed to combat internalized and interpersonal racism. Mr Hodari Davis has taught Black Studies and African American History for over 30 years. Each dynamic lecture aims to disrupt colonial mindsets and radically alter the way attendees see and understand Black History. Ultimately, these presentations are meant to express traditionally Black cosmologies and positionalities on the narratives that define the lives of Black people. Hodari has two Masters degrees and is currently a PhD candidate in the School of Education at UC Davis. He is a professional teacher with a passion for Black History and Black people.
Mr Davis Freedom Summer is a four part series focused on the origins of African American people. It provides pathways rooted in history to understand the ancestral experiences and cultural reality of Black people in the United States. This series is intended as an introduction to Black History for a public audience of attendees ages 15 and up.
